Rocking W Spurs will be a part of Western Trappings on the Llano from October 17, 2014 to January 4, 2015 Western Trappings on the Llano is a 77-day juried exhibition and sale of the finest original western art and custom trappings, gear. This exhibit, held in conjunction with the 10th Annual Llano River Chuck Wagon Cook-Off and the 25th Annual Llano Heritage Days Festival, is a new event for the Llano County Historical Museum and one that we hope will continue. The finest western art, trappings and gear will be displayed in the Llano County Museum. - We’ll be at the Cowboy Symposium in Lubbock
We’ll be at the Cowboy Symposium in Lubbock on September 6 and 7. The 26th Annual National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration (NCSC) will be held September 4 – 7, 2014, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center in Lubbock, Texas. The purpose of the NCSC is to celebrate and preserve our Western heritage and cowboy culture for those who know and love it, and to introduce new audiences to the heritage and culture so they may embrace it as well. The event schedule includes entertainers, poetry and storytelling, western writers and authors panels, film and movie seminars, a Youth Wild West Day, horse-handling demonstrations, a horse-themed parade, Native American Indian activities and presentations, the ever-popular Chuck Wagon Cookoff, and exhibits of Western artworks and merchandise. Currently, the 2014 NCSC is slated to feature more than 60 cowboy and cowgirl poets, musical acts, storytellers, more than 100 exhibit spaces filled with the best in Western art and goods, chuck wagons, and other special presenters and presentations. The event also includes the National Championship Chuck Wagon Cookoff. The NCSC is truly the premier event of its kind in the country!

- Rocking W Spurs and Cowgirl Princess at Texas State Arts and Craft Fair
Rocking W Spurs and Cowgirl Princess will team up again Memorial Day weekend at the Texas State Arts and Craft Fair in Kerrville, Texas. We will be displaying an selling our Thunder Gourds and Fused Glass wind chimes and wall Art. Stop by and visit as we always enjoy seeing our past and present customers. We will offer a good selection of items for sale but due to demand we have a limited amount of merchandise for sale, so come early and shop with us.

Rocking W Spurs will be teaming up with Cowgirl Princess at the Blanco Lavender Fest on June 7th, 8th, and 9th. As always I will have a few pairs of my handmade spurs in the booth. I will be offering a good selection of my Thunder Gourds all with unique designs and original art work. Each gourds art work is hand drawn, wood burned, and painted to give them a please appearance. They are then sealed and a drum head is added to the bottom along with a spring to create the “Thunder” effect with shaken. Each is hand tuned to give the best rumble of “Thunder”.
I will also have a couple of my southwest style shaman at the show. They are in varying sizes and can be used either inside as decorator pieces or outside as distinct yard art. They are metal and designed to last a lifetime. Each is unique to itself with no two be exactly the same.
Cowgirl Princess will have her beautiful fused glass art for sale at the same time. She is offerings unique fused glass wind chimes, each being different and each having a wonderful sound. She also has created a line of sun catchers to help decorate your windows and patio doors. Her potted glass cactus are each a one of a kind. They never need watering and always are in bloom. She has a complete line of one of the kind fused glass art.

- @LAST Llano ART Studio Tour is coming in March 2013!
Come to Llano, Texas on March 30th and experience a wonderful day of delightful art. The 4th annual @Last Art Studio Tour will be taking place and you will be granted access to private studios normally closed to the public. Come and share in the experience and enjoy the hourly demonstrations given by our many talented artists. There will be unique one of a kind art work for sale at each studio and something for everyone. We will have a thunder gourd making demo at 1 PM plus Cowgirl Princess will have her fused glass art on display. Blacksmith Manny Daurte will be giving demos on blacksmithing and have hand crafted items for sale. Gayle Hardaway will have her leather goods on display and for sale during the day. We are lucky number 13 on the area map and look forward to seeing you on March 39. Spend the night and come the Llano Art Guild on Bessemer Street at 7 PM for a meet the artist pary.
- COWBOY TRUE IN WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
Charles Wendt of Rocking W Spurs in Llano, Texas will be one of the featured artists at The Kemp Center for the Arts Cowboy True western art show. The show will be April 5th and 6th 2013 at the J. S. Bridwell Ag Center as the show have out grown the facilities available at the Kemp Center. Charles will be featuring his spurs for your viewing pleasure. The event kicks off at 4 PM on Friday with the judges selecting the best of the best pieces of art. At 6 PM the exhibit opens to the public for your enjoyment and closing at 9PM. On Saturday the exhibit will open at 10 AM and close at 5 PM. Starting at 5:30 PM will be a cocktail hour and then selected works of art will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. I will have a nice pair of spurs in this year’s auction so come early and bid high. Following the auction will be a dinner and dance. Drive a few miles, have a good time and come see us at Cowboy True.
