Buckle Making School ResultsOur western buckle making school is a companion to our spur making school. Come learn how to make your very own buckle!

Rocking W Spurs owner Charles Wendt is a retired Industrial Arts teacher and has spent several years teaching students in his public school classes the skills and art of spur making for class projects. He is now bringing that experience to buckle making.

Each student will be shown how to design and fabricate both the ranger and trophy styles buckles. Each is and unique different offering the student unlimited design options for now and in the future. The buckle will be fabricated from either 12 gauge or 14 gauge steel. They will be mounted with your choice of nickel silver, copper, jewelers bronze or all three.

During the two day school each student will be provided with materials and access to the tools needed to make a buckle during class. The very basic concept of metal engraving will be demonstrated during the classes.

If you are in the spur making school and want to try your hand making buckles the school will be reduced to a one day school as much of the information taught it the spur making school applies to the buckle making process. Just by adding one day, at a reduced rate, you will have the knowledge to make both spurs and buckles.

Each student needs to make provisions for rooms and their morning and evening meals. The noon meal will be provided.
